I’ve been a Beauty Girl since…as long as I can remember. From a young age, I would spend hours hiding in my grandmother’s bathroom prying through her Mary Kay makeup and hairspray. My fascination with everything beauty has only continued to grow.
My dream job is…fashion PR! I eventually want to open my own PR Firm. My favorite fashion icon is Marc Jacobs. I hope to represent him one day or work for him in any way. I love how he can make simple pieces into statement pieces.
My favorite places to shop in Chicago are…Topshop, Lush, FreePeople and so much more; I am quite the shopaholic. And though it doesn’t count as a beauty/clothing store, I would have to say that Sprinkles is one of the greatest things this city has to offer. I mean, who doesn’t love cupcakes? Well…my bank account maybe.
I describe my style as…trendy. I love staying on track with all of the hottest trends. This summer I was all about the corals, fun prints, cute floral headbands, and lots and lots of unique sunglasses (I bought about 5 more than I probably should have). I really like straying from wearing an outfit more than once. I tend to find ways to mix pieces together in ways that I never have before. It’s also a great way to make do with all the clothes that I have and stop shopping…but I don’t know if that will ever be possible.
The dominant color in my wardrobe is… black.
My best summer buys were…a cross-body bag I bought at Brandy Melville in Rome, a pair of cute sunglasses with floral rims, an adorable headband, and a baby doll dress from American Apparel!
The top 3 beauty products I can’t live without…are my True Match Concealer, Maybelline Falsies Mascara, and floral body spray. True Match has been my favorite concealer for years because it never creases, covers up blemishes perfectly, and highlights under my eyes so people can’t tell that I was up all night online shopping. Falsies is the perfect mascara for me; it lengthens and volumizes without clumping. And lastly, my floral body spray is something that I have always used because I’ve never been much of a perfume person; it’s more subtle for my liking!
My go-to makeup look is…a black cat-eye, long, full lashes, pink cheeks, and either a nude or pink subtle lip. I do try to change it up as much as possible though depending on my outfit. Lately I’ve been changing it up almost every day. Right now I’ve been doing a really bronzed, natural look. No eyeshadow, a glitter or light pencil liner on top, long lashes, bronzed cheeks, and a glossy lip; perfect for summer!
When I’m getting ready to go out, it takes me…about 1-2 hours to get ready. That sounds like a long time but it of course depends on where I’m going. If I’m just going to run errands then it takes only about 30 minutes or less. I just put concealer and mascara on then go.
My favorite celebrity signature look is…Blake Lively.
My hobbies are…playing with my puppies, reading Jane Austen (it never gets old), online shopping (quite the addiction), and hanging out with my friends and family.
