We love a red lip, but many people avoid it because it seems intimidating. The Beauty Girl has done videos on this subject and even put on an entire event around The Red Lip.
We’re always game to try a new red lip color, so when this “gloss stain” (the formula looks shiny on lips like a gloss but is long-lasting like a stain) by Physicians Formula arrived, we gave it a test drive. (Intern Elizabeth is wearing it in the above photo).
Were were also curious about the “pheromone boosting ingredients” in the lip gloss. The brand claims that the combo of vanilla scent, cocoa extract and ancient aphrodisiac horny goatweed will increase your attractiveness to a potential mate. We can’t testify that we gave off sexy vibes just from wearing the gloss, but the old-hollywood shade of red definitely made us feel confident for a full 8 hours. It required minimal to no touch-ups through a full day of wear.
When first applied, the texture is fairly watery and glides onto lips easily. After a few minutes it dries into a semi-matte finish and remains this way for the rest of day — even through meals. Only $9.95, this lip gloss is currently available in Hot Pink and Red. Hopefully, Physicians Formula will roll out more colors soon.
