Before Beyonce opened her mouth at the Grammys, I was already blown away. She looked as if she’d just stepped out of the iconic “Flash Dance” splash scene (see below photo for reference) with her sexy, wet hair and glistening makeup. While her curves stole the show, her perfect curls put on just as impressive of a performance. I for one have never escaped a rain shower or any shower looking like that. Beyonce nailed the wet hair look. I had to find out how she did it, so I asked the woman who’s responsible, Pantene celebrity stylist Kim Kimble, to tell all (there are only two steps!). I also got her tricks for transitioning this hairstyle from wet to dry as Beyonce did. One minute she was whipping her hair on stage, and the next we see her sitting in her seat with dry, frizz-free locks. If you’re wondering how that happened, here’s how:

For Beyonce’s Wet Hair Look:
1. On clean, wet hair work Pantene Pro-V Curly No Crunch Curls Whip into hair from root to tip to define frizz-free curls. Then brush through with a paddle brush to create soft, piece-y waves, and scrunch hair to help keep its definition.

2. Spritz the Pantene Advanced+Keratin Repair KeraGloss Oil Mist to add shine.

To Go From Wet to Dry:
3. After following the first two steps, dry hair with a diffuser. Point the diffuser toward your crown to keep hair smooth at the root and use underneath at the ends of hair to achieve volume.

4. Continue to scrunch hair until dry for added body. Use a 1/2 inch flat iron and wrap small pieces of hair around it to create additional soft waves, similar to a curling wand, to create a few additional waves.

5. Tame flyaways at the roots of hair with hairspray. It’s important this style looks messy and flawless, so a small amount of product at the crown is all you need.

6. Finish off the look with the Pantene Advanced+ Keratin Repair KeraGloss Oil Mist for shiny, effortless waves.
