Today’s segment on FOX Good Day Chicago was extra special. My youngest son Jasper made his TV debut! I owe a big thanks to my husband, who was a good sport holding Jasper during the segment. Click “Read More” below to watch the video and see the looks for mom, dad and kids. Read More
Before you buy your next pair of gloves, consider this: Starting Nov. 11th, Echo Design, a website with all kinds of accessories, will donate two cold-weather items to those in need through the non-profit organization fashion delivers.
The “Buy One, We Give Two” promo ends Dec. 1st, and all of the items donated will go to those in the northeast still impacted by Hurricane Sandy. Here’s the link to start shopping: http://www.echodesign.com/shop/cold-weather-1/share-the-warmth/
Lululemon has become a uniform for moms. However, the brand’s best-kept secret is their undies (I’ve got to give my mother-in-law credit for this find). Read More

There’s a reason so many fashion and beauty blogs have a variation of the word “sparkle” in their name. What girl doesn’t want to shine?! Here are three of my favorite new, sparkly finds. Read More
I’ve fallen for rings that are a tad too big and earrings that feel like elephants on my ears. Instead of admitting the fit wasn’t perfect, I made them mine in the heat of the moment. I do love looking at them, but the truth is I hardly wear these jewels because they just aren’t comfortable. Read More
I just got this Ann Taylor sequin skirt, and it’s become my favorite piece in my closet. It’s part of the wedding collection and can easily be dressed up for a fancy affair. I love that I can also wear it on a random Wednesday afternoon in the city. I like to style it casually pairing with a simple blouse (shown here) or with my Madewell denim shirt. The first time I wore it, I got a gazillion compliments, so if you’re looking for an ego boost, this is the skirt for you.
It whooshes when you walk and will have people stopping you to tell you how fab it is.
It took an afternoon of hair, makeup and a shopping spree at Ann Taylor to create my final look. The whole experience was documented should you want to do it yourself.
I started the beautification at Anthony Cristiano Salon located in the Trump Hotel.
First was hair. I wanted an effortless style with a bit of edge for daytime. We decided a messy bun was the perfect fit.
The stylist spritzed in Klorane Dry Shampoo to give my locks more oomph and hold. Then she pulled my hair into a pony and organically wrapped the tail into a bun securing with bobbi pins.
Next was makeup. To achieve “daytime chic” we went for fresh skin, light lips and defined but not heavy lashes. We did cheat a little adding a few individual lashes for the photos.
Here’s a list of the products used to create the look:
Benefit They’re Real mascara; IT Cosmetics Brow Pencil; By Terry Light Perfecting Foundation Brush; Pur Minerals CC Cream; Benefit Fakeup; Nuxe Oil; By Terry Baume de Rose; Naked Princess Gloss. P.S. These are some of the brands in the latest Birchbox.
The final stop was Ann Taylor. I perused the racks looking for the perfect outfit. I ended up pairing this high-low skirt with the leopard print cap sleeve knit tee. The tortoise necklace added brightness and texture and the cage black booties kept the vibe cool and youthful
Here’s the final look!

I’m always on the lookout for cute, comfy clothes for Rex. Teres Kids is a brand that fits the bill. I’d never heard of the line, and when they sent me some styles for Rex, I wished I’d known about them sooner.
