What to expect: When you enter AJ’s of Chicago, you’ll be greeted with welcoming smiles. Then you’ll quickly realize the Zen decor is not just attractive, it’s necessary. Even AJ admits it helps balance the outgoing personalities of his team. He handpicked his skilled staff and while some exhibit a diva-like behavior, they can get away with it because their work is that good. Day two started out with a lovely brunch at the Ritz with Madame Watier (shown above). I was impressed by Lise Watier, not only because she’s the founder of this successful 40-year-old company and is still involved in the product creation, but also because she’s on a mission to empower women and has taken this a step further by forming her own charity.
